Davin continues his incredible win streak today at Warrior Quest IV. He took the advance no gi division and the purple belt division (he actually went up one division). He won the finals by armbar from a triangle showing a very diverse game!
Derek Formoso also takes the no gi and gi divisions and looking very strong in the process. He looked great as he wrecked the competition.

Terry Maxwell has more than 16 + years in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has taught world class kids and adults the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has a very personal way of teaching BJJ. His son "Davin Maxwell" is an actively competing BJJ purple belt. Between them both, they have more champion medals than I care to mention. they have what it takes to make you, your son or daughter a world class champion on and off the mat. These guys truly live the "Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Life Style."
This is coming from another Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black belt that teaches adults and kids. "This guy is the real deal." I'm happy to call him my friend, my brother, my BJJ comrade.

At the Sacramento Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy, you will receive attentive instruction in every single training session in which you participate. All classes are taught personally by Terry Maxwell and his son Davin Maxwell. Both Terry and Davin are well versed in the devastating art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Terry has been practicing Jiu-Jitsu since 1995 and is a Cassio Werneck black belt. Terry also spent five years training under Carlson Gracie black belt, Rodrigo Medeiros in San Diego, CA. At that time he won the Pan American Jiu-Jitsu championships.
Davin is currently a purple belt and competes at the highest level in his class. Feel free to drop in anytime to check us out.
I have been training with Terry and Davin Maxwell for over a year and have benefited from their teachings in many ways. Under their training I have learned the art and techniques of Jiu-Jitsu as well as gaining a stronger desire to maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle. Throughout my life, including my 6 years playing semi-pro football, I have had many coaches. Terry is one of the most knowledgeable, inspiring, and dedicated coach/teacher I have ever trained with.
